What POS Hardware is Best?

I am opening a brick and mortar location in January, but will also be selling at home shows, festivals and other large "off site" events.  What is the best equipment for me to purchase?  I want to be able to track what is sold even when I'm not in the actual store.  Thoughts would be appreciated!

I would suggest Square.  They sell POS setups and it is easy to set up your inventory in the store and out of the store. You can use your Tablet as your register if you don’t want to buy expensive equipment

I would say that best setup would be the Square Register for the setup in the brick & mortar location. Add a cash drawer , barcode scanner and it’s a nice sleek trouble free setup. Then when you go offsite you can use an IPad or android tablet to use as a portable POS. The tablet can be used as standalone device or in combination with the Square Stand & Chip/card reader. I have a Bluetooth barcode reader that I pair to the tablet. That system would give you maximum flexibility and would allow you to track sales and inventory from everywhere you make sales
