Allow us to switch OFF the variation grid and go back to lists

The variation grid is a pain in the rear. I can't see half the info I need - all the names are truncated, there's no option to show a display name as the AI seems to think there should be.
I don't want to have to rename every single item in my store and then try to remember the abbreviations!
