This is my 18th loan with square, these loans have helped build my business tremendously since 2019. my lowest offer being 2100 to now paying off my highest of 38,900 - 80% paid off - always early pay off before the due date metrics.. I know the usual square verbiage "no guarantee of an offer, must be 3/4th paid for any hopes" etc.. just wondering if anyone please in similar shoes as me, has seen an offer in December yet? I desperately need this holiday boost , all metrics green and I could almost swear id have one by now .. usually I hit from lowest 54% to highest 87% but majority have been BEFORE hitting 80%... getting anxious. Anybody getting a loan recently?
Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.
We appreciate your loyalty when choosing to partner with Square for your past business loans. We understand that not being immediately eligible can be frustrating, but we are unable to override the automatic review process. Offers are based on many business factors including, but not limited to, your current payment processing volume, your customer mix, and your Square account history. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan. I paid off 4 loans in a row early. Been 3 weeks now, and still no offer?!. Very frustrating. Customer service is pointless to call, same answer over and over. Square, please take care of your good customers.
ive had my 5th paid off for a month now sales are up 70k from my last years sales. no chargebacks no returns, no issues just Square fees for processing and still nothjng here either I cant even view the eligibility factors page so I dont even know what I need to work onto maybe get a loan in the future it sucks.
Well, update from me, I got one today. I think it was the lowest one ever, this would be my 6th one. But very happy to get one today, which is my freakin birthday, so an unbeknownst birthday gift from Square. I'll happily take what I can get. Was at 90% paid off, so hang in there folks if you're around that payoff amount.
I paid my 4th loan off 2 weeks ago, all 4 paid early, never got one offer even at 75% paid off. Still no offer, and the same info from customer service over and over.
Glad to hear it and congrats. Wish i coild even be able to view my eligibility factors or even get help with why i cant but guess not...
Ugh, sorry 💔 for the lower offer, but Happy Birthday to you!!! Thank you for keeping everyone posted.
So i just got an email from the loans team that says this is why I am unable to view the eligibility factors page...
"It is because of my current account activity"
So my account activity is why I cannot view the eligibility factors page????
Ill post full text of email I received but tell me how this makes any sense at all...
"The purpose of the eligibility page located in your dashboard is to gain more insight into the status of your Square Loans eligibility. We take your business’s data and compare it to key factors that determine eligibility, such as processing volume, payment frequency, and account activity. If any of your eligibility factors need work, you can look at the tips we provide to strengthen your chances of becoming eligible.
However, the reason you are unable to view your eligibility page at this time is due to your current account activity. Therefore, we are unable to evaluate your eligibility for a Square loan at this time. "
So I.am now again at a total loss as too why my acct activity makes me unable to have my acct even reviewed for a.loan offer as thats what theh just told me is what the eligibility factors page shows you so you know what needs work but then said I cant view it though and they also said they cant even review my acct for eligibility because of my current acct activity which is the same as it always has been this is such a joke.
Without any information to go on, it would be pure speculation on my part. I believe that the account “activities” that I see on my end processing up, the amount of swipes, new vs return customers, etc. Are the normal ones you see with the metrics? Again, I'd check your emails to know when this all started if you didn't receive any regarding it. As I said, it would be pure speculation of “what if” on my end. I understand the letter, but I think you might be missing an email or something regarding your loan eligibility. If you call customer service back, you might want to ask whether they have any emails regarding this matter and whether they could resend them. Good luck, and I wish I could help more. This is above me, but I would definitely reach back out by calling them. Asking here is difficult, especially when you want answers, and unfortunately, they can't give out much because this is a public forum, and personal information needs to stay with you and be kept safe. My motto with customer service calls: you're only one away from a different perspective 😳😂. Truly good wishes your way.
Yeah normally I would agree with all that you said except for the one major pitfall in the "what if" for me that what if is that since its Square that K am dealing with I know it will continue getting brushed off and not ever handled or even looked at cause it would require them actually providing the support that I expect customer support to provide to a client of any business... Which would be well any at all would be a god start but In my personal experience with Square it just doesnt happen they are always just like ahh yes another B.S. pre scripted response so I.can just not actually do.anything at all and can customer can just not get any help that sounds like a perfect way to help that customer...
U Mayfield differently about it but I literally have been trying to get help with this exact same problem for more than an entire year literally like and I have got absolutely nothing except the prescripted responses that I've sent to you guys and I double check my emails triple check my emails I've called I don't even know how many times I've got like more than 10 escalated cases about this exact thing and it just always goes nowhere Like they say they're going to have somebody to get back to me they're escalating it up to technical support and then I get an email saying sorry you're not eligible for loan at this time try back later and that's all I ever get and then I get crickets every single time.
Same here. Its bananas. You would think good customers who pay early and ontime, would not have this problem. After 4 loans, ive started to rely on them, so this puts people like us in a hard spot. Im still waiting. My 1st 3 loans i got offers at 75% paid. This last 4th, i paid off and am still waiting, 2 weeks or so i believe, and the same pre scripted customer service responses. Hopefully we get offers soon.
My most recent one was my lowest yet as well. It’s crazy cause I’ve made way more than I had in loans prior but I did go part time and now currently on part part time branching out on my own soon as a mobile salon.
4 loans paid early here, last one 2 weeks ago. And no offer, not once, even at 75% paid off. Customer service says the same thing over and over. No reason why im not getting a offer.
I paid my last loan off a month ago, no.disputes no chargebacks 9k in processing in last 30 days and 11k month before that and nada here too so I feel you pain.
Its bananas, and they dont tell you why. Its backwards business in my eyes. If a customer paid 4 loans off very early, along with the moderate interest, then i would think that person would continue to get loan offers as usual. The entire time im paying the loans off, im looking forward to my next loan, especially after 4 loans!!, you kinda start to rely on them a bit. Its a kick in the D when u dont get a offer, and there is no real reason why? Im a very disappointed square user.
So we all know that business "slows down" after Dec 25th.
Does the algorithm take "pre Christmas vs. post Christmas" sales into account? In other words, will Square NOT punish us for having lower sales after Dec 25th in determining loan eligibility?
Lol well it sounded good at least!
Hi All, any updates? We are at 69% paid off and we are all in the green- have had several loan offers before and all came in at random amounts paid varying from 45-84%. We're opening up our second location this month and it would be so helpful. Was curious if square might be waiting until the new year in general. Anyone with offers in late December?
Nope, nothing.
