This bank balance is unavailable until we can verify your account

Hi everyone,

I have been a loyal Square seller for many years and have always relied on how quickly my funds are made available. Unfortunately, right now I am stuck in a very frustrating verification loop and my funds are being held due to a system glitch.

My dashboard is showing this error: "This bank balance is unavailable until we can verify your account. Please check your email for more details."

However, when I go to the Information Requests tab to complete the verification, the dashboard says: "There are no active information requests at this time."

I have thoroughly checked my email, including my spam and junk folders. I have received absolutely zero emails from Square asking for documents, ID, or bank verification.

Here is why this is an urgent emergency: It is the weekend and banking is closed until Monday. I have automated business payments scheduled to come out of my account on Monday morning. If these funds aren't released and those payments are returned, it will negatively affect my business credit.

Because the system hasn't actually given me a request to fill out, I have no way to verify whatever it is asking for. It feels like my funds are being held hostage by a tech glitch, and I don't even have the ability to correct the matter right away.

Has anyone else experienced this "ghost hold"? Can a Community Moderator please escalate this immediately so support can manually trigger the request to my dashboard? I just want to provide whatever documentation is needed so I can access my money before Monday.

@Marble2 No one on this board can help you with this kind of problem.  You need to contact customer support.  They will be able to access your account and tell you what is going on.  Good luck.
