Is there a way to customize a confirmation email for particular items when selling online?

Starting to get into adding more items to our online shop, and I was wondering if there was a way to customize the confirmation email for individual items. For example, the item in particular is a membership for paddleboarding class so not a "physical item" but they would need to be given a code when they register for the class. Any advice is welcomed. Thank you

Hi @adventuremystic.  I THINK (but can not guarantee) that I might have a way or two for you to do this.  But, if so, I’ll need more information about your order/confirmation flow, and my possible solutions will NOT involve item-level confirmation emails which are not available, anyway.  So……

 

Give me an idea about how you see this working, how it works now.

 

  1. Do customers enroll for a class from a list of available classes?
  2. Why do they need a code, anyway?  Do you currently call/email/text them with a code?
  3. Why can’t they register for the specific class when they buy it?  Does it need to be a two-step process?
  4. After you answer these questions, could you give me a step-by-step about your current, manual/non-Square procedure? That would really help a lot!

Sorry for the questions, but answers will give me a fighting chance to give you a workable solution.
