Contractor payroll -- notifications?

I've started using Square Payroll for my 1099 contractors. I go to Overview and then Pay Team and pick the contractor and how much money they should receive. Then I get a summary page to close.

 

All that is fine. But why doesn't the contractor receive an email right then and there saying "[company name] has just queued $100 that will be paid by [payroll date]."? That would be very helpful to me so that my people know they are going to get paid. Right now they are in the dark until the money actually hits their account.

 

Someone please tell me why this has not been implemented.

Update:

 

I was able to touch base with our Payroll Team and they are keeping track of this request.

 

We aren't able to offer a specific timeline for when additional notification improvements may become available, though I hope this helps: when a pay run is queued, your contracted employees will see a "pending" pay stub in the employee dashboard + Team App. With that, they'll have assurance that the pay run has been sent.
