The Square Community team recently launched a restructured experience designed to make it easier for you to:
✨ Find product support faster
💬 Connect with peers and Square teams
🔍 Discover relevant answers with improved search
💡 Share and collaborate on product feedback in a dedicated hub
Now we want to hear from you! 🙌
What do you think of the changes so far? Is the navigation clearer? Are you finding it easier to get the support and information you need?
Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help us continue improving the Community experience. Drop your thoughts, suggestions, or any challenges you’ve noticed right here in this thread. 💬 Reply below and let us know what’s working well and what we can do better.
Hi @theladyspantry, welcome to the community! And thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm curious what we could help you navigate to more easily. You mention the search function, but I'm wondering if it's helpful having the 5 main categories in the navigation: Help, Feedback, Groups & Events, News, and Community Hub.
Our hope is that it would be intuitive to go to the Help area to get answers to Square product questions. For instance, both question #1 and #2 you posted here would be perfect candidates as questions in Help. Other business owners who use Square can step in to assist you with any questions you might have. If you need help getting started in the community with posting and navigation, you can review our resources to help you get started.
And would you mind giving me more context around Square's FAQs? Are you looking for documentation on how to use the Square products? If so, support documentation can be found here. If you are talking about FAQs for the community, the link of resources above should definitely help out.
I hope some of this info helps, but I'm also here to answer any more questions or comments you have. We're glad you're here and we're happy to support!
The new layout of square community is hard to find discussions of what I'm looking for. Seems like it's just the square team pushing posts anymore, and not actual group conversations between users.
Hi @tecichan, thank you for your comment! I'm sorry you're having a hard time finding discussions you're looking for and hope that I can help.
What is the topic or product you are trying to find discussions on? If you are looking for product support from peers, you can drill down by product from the main navigation, or search the Help boards. If you'd like to find and comment on product ideas from fellow sellers, you can search and post in the Feature Request area. And if you'd like to chat with other sellers based on interests or business types, you can join one of our Groups. Lastly, you can join general conversations unrelated to Square products or your business type with other sellers in Community Corner. If you are searching for discussions within News, you will primarily see posts from Square employees, but our hope is that in general we empower sellers to talk to other sellers. If you have any examples of discussions where you think it would have been better for Square not to comment, please feel free to add them here and I am happy to go and share with our team so we can give concrete examples on which conversations they could sit back on. Additionally, this "get started" post might help with the layout of the community and other common questions. It links out to articles that can teach you about how to search, how to write a great feature request, etc.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with, and thanks again for sharing your feedback!
I’m trying to create a “Join My Place Community” feature where customers can join free, earn from referrals, unlock rewards, and access exclusive events, while I keep using Square to sell tickets, food, and drinks. I’d love a simple member dashboard and some community features like event comments, ambassador messages, and possibly AI automation, but developers are expensive and I’ve been struggling to make it happen. I’d really appreciate advice on whether Square can support this on its own or if it needs to work with a tool like Memberstack, especially since Square supports integrations but its loyalty product is different from a true referral system
