Getting started in the Square Community

Welcome to the Square Community, where we’re dedicated to creating an enjoyable, valuable, and supportive space for all people who use Square's products. We’re glad to have you here and want to help you begin getting benefits right away. Read on to find out how to get started in the community! In this article you’ll learn:

 

What is the Square Community? 

The Square Community is a peer-to-peer network for Square business owners to connect with each other and with Square. You can learn how other businesses use Square, get help from others facing similar challenges, and provide support to fellow entrepreneurs on their journey. 

 

How to join the community

First, please be sure to read and follow our Community Code of Conduct. Next, if you haven’t already, join us and sign up for your community account in these three easy steps:

  1. Sign up for your Square Point of Sale account at squareup.com, or download the Square app to your mobile device.
    Already using Square? Skip to step 2! 
  2. Visit community.squareup.com and click Sign In. You’ll be prompted to enter an email address and password, and you’ll use the email address and password tied to your Square account.
  3. You’ll be asked to set a username and you’ll be assigned a profile image. Keep in mind your username will be visible to everyone! 

That’s it! You’re in, and ready to explore what’s next.

 

How to update your profile and username

All about marking Solutions

When you post a question in the community, you may notice the option to “Mark as Solution” on a reply. This article will describe both what a solution is and why questions need a solution marked.
