[US Upcoming Beta] Looking for Testers: Tip Before Payment 🤑

👋 Hello, sellers! We have an upcoming testing opportunity, for US only at this time. 

Who? This feature would be most applicable for sellers doing counter service - no printed auth slips, and tipping enabled.

What? We will be introducing the ability for sellers to customize their checkout flow so customers are prompted to enter a tip before they swipe/tap/dip their card. This will be a setting within F&B modes only to start.

Why?

• By switching the order of these actions in Checkout, it reduces the likelihood that customers will walk away after payment and forget to make a selection in the tip UI.

• Additionally, since items are not sent to the kitchen until a tip selection is made, we expect this to increase the speed in which items are sent to the kitchen, ultimately decreasing fulfillment times.

I just had to go back and check cameras because a customer called and said their total was wrong. The paying customer walked away before finishing the screen prompts and the customer behind them decided to give a nice fat tip without the person paying knowing. This sounds like a great feature!!
