I would only look at Square courses for things about Square. That said, I am not a huge fan of how to videos. I prefer to read through the steps as I can clearly see if the instructions are telling me to do something I have already done. Videos require you to fast forward and its very time consuming to go through several and then find out they are telling you to do what you've already tried and you do actually need to escalate for extra support. Puts me in a bad mood before I've even spoken to someone.

  • To learn about new business topics, I usually find blogs or articles through some different business groups that I am signed up with that email them out.  Having them send new up to date information on all things financial, grants, trends, etc. is helpful.  The Square articles have also been a great help.
  • I would be interested in Square courses that are relevant to what I'm going through as a business owner; rural location, hiring employees, training tips; time of day, how long the class is, I do like when we are able to give feedback and ask questions during a live event.
  • I prefer a live event, but also like that a recorded copy is sent out for those times that I cannot make it or have to step away to take care of something.
  •  I have enjoyed Square support articles.  They have been relevant to what I'm going through as a business owner and reading about how other business owners have used Square to benefit their business has been helpful.  One that helped me out recently was about how a business owner set up different folders under the Savings account and what percentages he used.  This has greatly helped us out and I enjoy that square sets our percentages aside automatically.

For business topics, I enjoy podcasts, books, and YouTube. There is a lot of self-proclaimed garbage out there, so critical thinking and filtering are important when finding online content. I don't know if this is within the parameters of Square, but I would appreciate recommendations to outside content relative to our businesses. Mine is pet grooming/service, and I see many others are food service and retail.

I would enjoy Square courses if they are fresh (not just content found everywhere) and relevant to my business. It doesn't have to be pets, but service business, pricing, time management, financial management for business owners, entrepreneurship would be of interest.

I don't prefer groups. I like live when I have time, but since I'm very busy I like a recorded option if I can't make it.

I guess I need to explore Square's existing content. I have only read the posts in this community and specific problem-solving articles from searches, like "how to change a staff member's availability."

Hi there! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for the opportunity to share feedback. As a small business owner, Iโ€™d love to see more learning resources focused on:

  • Brand storytelling and content creation โ€“ especially how to effectively use Square tools to strengthen brand visibility and customer connection.
  • E-commerce growth strategies โ€“ tips for expanding online sales, integrating social media, and optimizing the customer experience.
  • Financial literacy for small business owners โ€“ understanding reports, managing cash flow, and pricing for profit.
  • Customer retention and loyalty programs โ€“ using data and personalized marketing to build repeat business.

Courses that include real-life examples from other small business owners would be incredibly valuable and inspiring!

Thank you for listening to your community โ€” Iโ€™m excited to see what new resources you create. ๐Ÿ’š

For business topics I learn through emails, online articles, or social media.

I would take a square course if i feel there is something to benefit my business.

I prefer live learning.  Google meet etc.

Square support articles.

I have feedback on the loyalty screen - if we start scanning merchandise the prompt says "see rewards" then after clicking that they are given just one option "sign up or check in" and then allowed to enter their phone number.  It is redundant and the clients are confused.  It should after hitting the "see rewards" allow them to input their phone number and not have to hit another prompt to get there (and there isn't a choice, it is literally one more button of redundancy) and confuses the client as they think they should be allowed to type in their phone number right after the "see rewards" prompt.  Can we take a look at that and possibly fix it.  It is annoying as daily we go through this.

Hello,

I had joined a zoom presentation laying out new features to Square.  It was interesting although maybe not relevant to my particular business.  Having more videos or meetings available to explain larger updates to the system before they happen would be great.

Thanks!

I usually learn about business topics on

Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, & TikTok.

I would be motivated to take a Square Course if the teacher is actually teaching and not just talking. If the subjects are broken down to where itโ€™s easy to understand and is relatable.

I prefer self-paced learning. Iโ€™m easily distracted and get bored fast. Live teaching just seems so long and boring and group learning is not that interesting because Iโ€™m an introvert. I do not want to hear everyoneโ€™s story unless itโ€™s inspiring.

I find the short video tutorials helpful and sometimes the community post.

  • Is there any content provided by Square that you find helpful? (Square support articles, blog articles, YouTube or video content, etc) Yes, there is however its difficult following threads in my personal opinion. I am therefore more likely to attempt a YouTube or google search or chat Gpt for the answer. In Threads You see the repeated questions and responses several times throughout the thread and essentially read the same content. It makes it harder to locate and find your answers sifting through all the responses when I feel having this more one: one would be better. Have a different section where its more generalised discussions between square users
