Feedback requested: invitation to try F&B purchasing assistant tool

I’m Ramsey A., an Integration Product Manager on the Square for Restaurants team. I’m responsible for better connecting the tools you use to run your business with Square POS (ex: online ordering, inventory management, etc.).

We are looking for select food & beverage sellers to trial a purchasing tool that will help you streamline ordering and lower cost of goods. As part of the trial, we would love to get your feedback on how this tool could integrate with your Square POS. Using this purchasing tool can help you:

• Save hours each week by ordering from all your suppliers in one place
• Identify lower-priced options and deliver them directly to your restaurant
• Easily manage your favorite vendors and customize order guides with pars for each supplier

Oh, how interesting. I'd love to give this a try although I'm purchasing food and beverage ingredients from wholesale suppliers (most of whom do not have Square). Is this an integration? Will there be the option for manually adding purchases for tracking purposes? Always interested in any feature that can help me track COGS.

Super curious about this too, @Tamyra_Paunchy -- none of our wholesale suppliers use Square, so I'm very curious how this will integrate. I'm working on setting up a call with the company this week to see a demo, hopefully that will answer lots of questions!

I am interested, but I have a question about the purchasing tool:
I sell items that can come 1,2,3,4,6,12,or 15 per case, depending on which Item it is.
Would this tool have the capability to tell it what the case quantity of the sales units are, so that it would streamline ordering?

Just to be clear:
"Item A" comes in "Case A", which has 4 units of "Item A" in it.
"Item B" comes in "Case B", which has 15 units of "Item B" in it.
When I do ordering, I always have to do the "translation" from sales units to order by cases (rounding up not to run out).

I've experimented with making Items that align with the Cases I'd order, and Sales units to that Item, but it doesn't display well online, and is cumbersome, so I don't do it.
