Remote desktop for Square Register

I transitioned to Square for Retail using Square Registers from a Windows based POS system.

While Square is generally more featureful and modern, one of the core capabilities of Windows is the ability to establish a remote desktop session to remotely take over a station and perform activities as if you were physically at the station.

This is not something that is frequently needed (I used it about once per week on average), but it is invaluable in terms of being able to see what is happening at the station and correcting some transactions and settings.

I understand the security risks and implications, but there should be a secure method to allow this access using strong authentication. There are many third party apps that can do this.

Agreed, AnyDesk is a secure remote platform that we already use on other android-based systems. It would be nice for Square to open their hardware up to certain third-party applications.

Agreed we are on 2025 this should be an standard feature for the registers as it will allow owners with multiple locations to support their team better.
