Modifiers that can can take off charges

Modifiers that can can take off charges

Would love to FINALLY see modifiers that are negative. See this all the way back to 2020 in various forms. It would be great if the conversational modifiers allowed you to do this. So, “Add” would place a charge if you assigned one, “Sub” would either assign an UpCharge or none depending on your needs (ex: Sub cheddar for havarti could either be an UpCharge or an even sub), and “NO” would remove cost if appropriate. So, No lettuce is probably not going to remove charges but No Bacon would definitely remove charges. Now, it’s just info for the kitchen but does nothing for the customer’s cost.

We would love this as well!  Our previous POS allowed a negative dollar amount.  The one place we used that was for Liquor sales, where the liquor is the menu item, and we had a modifier that would lower the price if they ordered it as a shot.

Why hasn’t this been implemented yet? It’s 2026 and this can be done. Please hear us square. We want to stay with your platform but these things need to be accomplished.

This doesn’t have to be complicated. If we have a modifier for “no cheese” then we should be able to put a (negative)-$1 and when the customer picked that, it will deduct the amount we set.
