Seller-facing Description

One of my bookstore workers tends to add descriptions of our items that detail specific order information, like the date ordered/received or extra information for us to consider with different items. This makes it easier and faster for her to find the information than going into stock history. But any information put in the description section is also available to the customers.

 

I would like if we could have a description section that only we see as the Sellers, completely separate from the Customer-facing description.

This has been needed for years. I used to use the "product description" field in square when Weebly was separate for lots of important things, including stock room location, manufacturer information about items we rename for ease of ordering, case sizes for ordering, etc. This was extremely helpful until Square merged with Weebly a few years back and the product descriptions merged (weebly was the online/customer facing description field and Square Dashboard was essentially the "internal" notes. I haven't found a workaround since then. Ignoring the trauma of all my internal notes being published on the website at once for hundreds of items while we scrambled to preserve that information and change it with the customer descriptions...for weeks...).
