Modifiers that can can take off charges

Modifiers that can can take off charges

Would love to FINALLY see modifiers that are negative. See this all the way back to 2020 in various forms. It would be great if the conversational modifiers allowed you to do this. So, “Add” would place a charge if you assigned one, “Sub” would either assign an UpCharge or none depending on your needs (ex: Sub cheddar for havarti could either be an UpCharge or an even sub), and “NO” would remove cost if appropriate. So, No lettuce is probably not going to remove charges but No Bacon would definitely remove charges. Now, it’s just info for the kitchen but does nothing for the customer’s cost.

It would be very useful to be able to just type a - sign before a price in the modifiers to be able to take a certain amount of money off an item, if that certain modifier is selected. It’s way more confusing and not as neat to have to make multiple products to match the needs of my business. I want to be able to change how many shots of espresso go into a certain sized drinks. For example when a customer wants say, only 1 shot of espresso instead of the default 2 shots. I want it to take off the price of a shot of espresso. Currently there is no option for this and the work-around are tedious and make things super unorganized.

Yeeeesssssss!  When someone orders a burrito with no steak - I want the 'no steak' modifier to take off some $ for the steak.

Thanks!

This would also be very helpful for us

We would use this feature for breakfast sandwiches. Currently, if someone orders a breakfast sandwich with 'no egg', I have it set to not add the $3 amount of the protein (bacon, sausage, etc).

Would be easier to deduct the cost from the item price via logic.

This should be an option already.  We would also love to have this choice. PLEASE FIX

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on this feature request. I can understand how valuable negative modifiers would be for pricing adjustments and streamlining order management. While modifiers currently serve as informational for the kitchen, I appreciate your detailed breakdown of how they could better impact pricing.

Negative modifiers would help the customers pay for what they are receiving. Example, the customer adds a product that has 10 ingredients, but they ask to remove let's say 2 ingredients. The fairness for the customer would be for the business to reduce at least the price of the cost of the product from the bill.

Chick-Fil-A is a restaurant that does that very well, other than that I haven't seen anywhere else or at least paid attention to.

We would use this for our reusable cup discount - removes 20p when customer uses their own cup
