Minimum Dollar order amount for online sales.

Minimum Dollar order amount for online sales.

Minimum sales amount for online sales orders for drop shipping. Manufacturers have minimum sales amounts for drop shipping direct products. With no minimum if the customer places an order and it does not meet minimum then  have to credit the customer and I have to eat your refund fee or eat the surcharge the manufacturer charges for not meeting minimums on order placements.

Hi cordcut,

I don't believe it's possible to actually set a minimum credit card charge amount other than the minimum amount of $1.  There are possible work arounds - for example, changing the item pricing to show that this particular item comes in a specific quantity at a specific price.  Hope that makes sense.

Hey @cordcut ! Thank you so much for submitting this Feature Request! I've updated it to the "Open" status. This step in the Feature Request process will be a time in which other sellers can add their use cases to your idea to make it stronger and demonstrate further how much it is needed. Later on, we'll re-visit the most popular feature requests in the "Open for Votes" status and bring them to product teams.
To other sellers that see this feature, please “like” the post and reply with a use case that your business would have. This will help to signal that this feature request is even more important to address.

This would extremely simplify my processes. I currently offer free shipping on orders over $50. I would rather not have to mess with the shipping rates, etc. for the $10 items, unless they are purchase several of them. In that case, they would get the free shipping.

If you require a zip code why can you not allow a seller to set his minimum ship dollar amount? Simple activation button and entry of dollar amount before the order proceeds to the ccd verification.

Again a minimum order amount before order can be submitted for ccd approval. What is so hard about this feature being added? You require an address and zip code beofer you can submit order for payment. A simple dollar threshold feature should be pretty simple.

As with most if not all Credit Card Transaction processing Services - they all have basically a minimum amount - which is $1.00 - you may need to provide more details as to what you have in mind - hey we are all interested.

Keep in mind that the Credit Card Processing Services like Square don't make the Rules - it's the big dogs like VISA and MASTER CHARGE who make the RULES.   The Card Processing Services have to follow those RULES.

So what's your thoughts ......

Was hoping to find a way to set a minimum dollar amount for online orders.  I don't want to accept any order less than $200 (I will be using this for my wholesale online shop).  It seems crazy that there has been all these requests for that over the years and Square still has not added that feature.  Did I overlook something?  It is a very simple thing that my Squarespace website online store (non-wholesale) offers and seems crazy that it's not available via Square after all this time.

I agree this is a function would be a great setting to add to Square Online. Some businesses with products that are either difficult or expensive to ship need the ability to have a minimum order value to complete checkout. I have met several Square Sellers that would like to have this function for their website.

I would even like a minimum of $1, but I cannot see where I can set that. Is there anyplace where I can set a minimum for online use? I have people charging 25 and 50 cents which eats up all the transaction fees.
