I would like to select multiple items on checkout screen and apply a discount to them

I have read through a lot of threads about how to apply discounts both automatically and manually.  It would be great addition to the manual option if we could select multiple items in the cart and apply the same discount to all of them.  It's pretty cumbersome going into each item individually.  None of the rules in the automatic rules section apply to the reasons we want to apply discounts (when people buy a mixed 6-pack of different beers that are rung in individually because of price variations and then receive a discount on the 6 pack.  It's not so bad when that is all they buy but most of the time it is not all that they buy and it takes so long to go add discounts to a bunch of line items one at a time).

Totally agree — having to apply the same discount to each item one-by-one is such a time-waster, especially in a fast-paced setting like yours. Being able to select multiple items and apply a single discount would make things way smoother (especially for mixed-item deals like your 6-pack example 🍻).

Right now, there’s no built-in way to bulk apply discounts during checkout (which is wild, I know). A small workaround is to create a custom discount amount for the full 6-pack and apply it as one total line discount — but that’s still manual and doesn’t reflect per-item pricing.

I’d definitely recommend submitting this through Settings → Feedback in your Square Dashboard and also adding it to the Feature Requests section. This is one of those everyday quality-of-life things that would help a lot of sellers!

its rather time wasting to go through the menu with variations to choose a product and have to do it a few times, I should be able to click multiple items and add them all at once to the checkout
