Consistency of functionality and terminology between iPad, Dashboard and Register

Is it possible to have a little more consistency of functionality and terminology between the dashboard, Register and iPad app. We tend to see the dashboard as the control center of all things and expect this to have the most / all the functionality which is not always the case.

For example  email signups. It is possible to manually subscribe customer profiles to email marketing via the Register and iPad, but not on the dashboard, these options are greyed out and not selectable on the dashboard.

Also the marketing email signup status naming is a little variable between platforms, subscribed, not subscribed, unsubscribed, bounced, unknown, expired. I know what they suggesting but what is shown between the platform status can vary and not always consistent. for example I have a customer that shows email subscribed on the iPad, not subscribed on the dashboard and expired on the exported spreadsheet database.

I completely agree with this. As a seller, I naturally think of Dashboard as the “control center,” so it can be frustrating when something can be done from Register or iPad but not from Dashboard.

I’d love to see more consistency not only in functionality, but also in the terminology used across platforms. When the same customer can show different email marketing statuses depending on where you’re looking, it creates unnecessary confusion and makes it harder to know which information is actually current.

Even if certain features have to remain platform-specific, consistent naming and clearer explanations of what each status means would be a huge improvement. This is a great example of something that seems small but can make a big difference in the day-to-day seller experience. 😊

Totally agree there. We have spent the whole day trying to find work arounds while trying to understand what we are seeing.
