Scheduling and Staff Availability

My staff all have schedules that vary each week. When setting their availability for us to create a schedule they are not able to set it for each day in each week. They have to set recurring availability and then request time off for each day that is different. This is labor intensive because it is shift work and each week looks differently with time availability. We previously used 7shifts for scheduling and they had a user-friendly, and easily customizable availability feature. One of the perks of switching to square was that we could do everything in one place, and I love that we can see the schedule, do payroll, track items etc! However, this availability barrier requires us to outsource to a clunkier option now.

I can absolutely understand this.  This would be a nice to have addition.

I think this would be a valuable improvement. Staff availability often changes because of vacations, training, or personal commitments, and managers need a quick way to update schedules without manually editing every shift. Having availability changes automatically reflected in scheduling would save time and reduce the risk of assigning someone when they're unavailable. It would be even better if recurring and one-time availability changes were both supported.
