Feature Request - Group Bookings for Square Appointments

I run a variety of exercise services.  A weekend bootcamp that goes for 8 weeks each so once people sign up they are automatically in for the next 8 weeks.

 

Kids bootcamp which are only on at set times each week based on age group.

 

And then one-to-one personal training which I have a few appointments a week available.

 

I am struggling to organise the various bookings on Square.  Is it possible to have one service that is booked and paid for once every 8 weeks.  

 

The kids bootcamp people can sign up each week but I can't work out how to limit the two sessions to only one particular age group.

 

The one-to-one sessions are okay, I've managed to get those done. 

 

Any advice appreciated.  TIA

Another request for Group Bookings please - I am running group sessions .. Also, the ability to offer a discount if multiple sessions are booked in advance would be wonderful. But not as important. Thanks

Come on Square, this is pathetic?

Has anybody bothered to actually do anything about this problem yet?

I've now encountered another major flaw with Square, in that i needed to enable the integration between Square and Xero to be able to receive payments online and operate using a "click and collect" type process as mandated by the NSW Government (Australia) during the current Covid restrictions.

But as my customer invoices are not generated in Square, and Square has some ridiculous system of creating an invoice regardless that is then sent into Xero and posted to Square Balance Acct for every single payment i receive made through Square, I am unable to reconcile them.

The integration between Square and Xero does not allow me to modify the necessary settings to correct this problem.

To resolve it, i'll need to disconnect the integration, and go through Xero and manually remove all the payments applied to Square invoices so they can then be manually matched to the customer invoices... and then find another online payment solution.

 

It looks like i might simply have to stop using Square altogether, and find another payment provider and booking system that will actually work together in the way required.

 

It seems Square is purely focused only on businesses that just want to sell cakes and coffees.

Anything that requires a system a bit more sophisticated than that, just forget about it so it seems???

At the moment group bookings are still a feature request - though hopefully we'll see this feature come to Appointments in the future, and I'll update this thread if I do have any news to share.

 

For the other issue with the integration between Square and Xero - would a tax invoice from Square be enough in this instance? I can't say I have personal experience using this integration, however it's possible Amaka will be able to help here as the company who build and maintain this integration - I'd encourage you to book a session with one of their experts on how to get the most out of the integration! If it doesn't presently do what you're looking to do your feedback may be useful to their team!

Would also be interested in a group bookings & recurrent payment feature for a small group exercise facility. We currently have square for front desk payments and a booking system I am not all that happy with for regular debit payments. 

I found most member management systems in this field to be clunky and over stacked with useless feature and reports

Would make things much easier to combine and simplify things
