Discount Codes to be used when booking an appointment online

I'd like to offer a special for clients for booking online, but there is no option for them to enter in a discount code when booking their appointment. This would be an essential asset to business marketing, promotions and bookings. It's important to have pre-paid booking options, but if i want to offer a discount, there doesn't seem to be any way to do this

I run a rehearsal studio for bands, and we require prepayment of the full amount in order to book. We are trying to make the booking process as automated as possible, so that we can keep our staffing and overhead minimal and keep offering a great service at a low price. So we rely on most of our clients to book their own time online and pay for it in advance, and being able to offer discount and promo codes would be a huge incentive to keep bring people back and getting new clientele. Seems odd that it isn’t a feature already included in booking online appointments. Please add this feature!

 

Also, please add the ability to book over multiple days, musicians are night owls, and they often want to come in late into the night, so we are available 24 hours a day, would be nice if our clients could book appointments that go past midnight.

Thanks for the additional input. We can understand how this is important to your business, and how discount codes would improve your booking process for clients.

 

Being able to book within more than one day at a time is a great feature request that we've heard in the past. I can see how it's frustrating to be unable to book an appointment between 11pm-2am (the following day). We will post in this thread when we have an update. Thanks again for posting! 🙌

I'm assuming since this has been in the feature requests for 3 years it will never be resolved. Anyway, I'm following this just in case. Adding discount codes to online booking should be a priority

Hi @Lemonclear. I went to see if I could find any updates on this feature request but I wasn't able to find any new info to share. I'm really sorry. We never say "never" when it comes to feature requests, but unfortunately some do take longer than others to implement. 

 

We'll be sure to update this thread if there's any new development that comes along.

I also do all my appointment booking online. I don't collect money in person, so there is not opportunity to apply coupons via the app.

I'm working on raising my prices and would like to provide my current customers with a coupon/discount to reward their loyalty and ease their financial pain for the first few months after the price increase. 

I'm disappointed to find that it's not possible with square appointments. I think this is a whole and necessary part of any software taking in money.  what's up?

this thread has been going for three years.  what is an ETA for coupons/discount for appointments?

I hear ya and I understand why you think your voice has fallen on deaf ears given how long this feature has been requested.  The Product Team works hard to prioritize everyone's needs, but as @nika mentioned, some requests do take longer than others to implement. Nonetheless, we'll be sure to notify you first if anything changes.

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

 

Right now, there isn't a way for your customers to use coupons or promo codes for Appointments booked from your online Appointments booking site. We're tracking this feature request, and will post updates in this thread when we have ones available. 

Three years later and this simple feature has still not been implemented?

@ask4adam - Sorry about that. You're right - it has been a long time since this feature request thread was first created. I wish I can move the needle on this one but I'm afraid I don't have any shareable updates on its future availability. Still tracking for our Product Team,  though.
