I'd like to offer a special for clients for booking online, but there is no option for them to enter in a discount code when booking their appointment. This would be an essential asset to business marketing, promotions and bookings. It's important to have pre-paid booking options, but if i want to offer a discount, there doesn't seem to be any way to do this

Hi @Valentina, Square has been tracking this feature for almost three years and it was shortly after the first post that Square acknowledged the value of the coupon incentive for pre-payments when using square appointments. Can we have an update on when (or if) we in the services community can expect this feature?

Similarly to others, I knew that there was an option to set up a discount code but didn't realize it wouldn't include pre-payments when scheduling with the Appointments booking site. This is such an important feature and is a huge oversight since offering promo code discounts is such a vital marketing approach. Please, please, make this a priority when considering future additions and let us know when it becomes available.

This is a follow-up to a comment I left here a few months ago after I signed up for Square Marketing and noticed the issue with discount codes not being usable unless the clients pay in my office.  Most of my clients schedule online and pre-pay for their appointments. I've since had several clients mention they received a birthday or other discount code but couldn't use it. 

 

I've already been advised one solution would be to switch to Square's online scheduler, but I do not intend to do that as I'm all set up on my website, etc., and very happy with Acuity. (It sounds like the promo code issue is a problem even for people using Square Appointments anyway.) If I can't integrate these promotions with my online scheduler -- or at least create my own codes to be used in the emails -- I will have to terminate my monthly subscription to Square Marketing as it's one of the most important features that needs to work in order to be worth the price -- and for my clients, worth opening the emails and furnishing their birthdays, etc.

Is there an update to when promo/discount codes will be able to be used with square appointments. 95% of my clients schedule online and pre-pay for their appointments  and can not use promo codes.  This is such a big marketing tool that we are missing out on.  PLEASE FIX THIS!!!  It's been over 3 years since I first asked for this!!!!

I can see how promo codes would be useful when clients/customers are booking an appointment and paying ahead of time. I know we're working on this feature, howeverr I do not have a release date to share.

 

Just to confirm, are the promo codes something you're imagining to be entered on your Square Appointments booking site? Let me know, because the more insight and detail we have from our sellers, the more our Product Teams have to work with. 

 

 

Yes @isabelle when my clients book on my square appointments site they pre pay for their appointment.  I would like to create promo codes for a sale or send out happy birthday e-mails with a promo code for a discount for them to use.  Also I can't sell gift cards as there is no option to enter a gift card as payment in square appointments.

I understand how frustrating these limitations are. We will post an update in this thread when we have one regarding this feature request. Thank you so much for taking the time to elaborate on what you'd like to see from this feature. 

@isabelle I would like to be able to create my own promo codes or use the given promo codes with my Acuity online scheduler. My clients have expressed frustration about not being able to use their codes when prepaying/booking online, which is how almost all of my customers do business with me. This is one of the most important features that is sorely lacking, and it seriously limits the usefulness of Square Marketing for my business. I've been requesting and waiting for this feature for awhile. I need to end my Marketing subscription and renew when/if this feature becomes available. Please let me know if something changes.
