Hi @ffy479, thanks for posting. The ability to disable the quantity function for items on Square Register isn't currently an option.

Out of curiosity, can you share more information on why you'd like to remove this feature? I'd like to share more details with our product liaison team.

We need to be able to disable the quantity function on the square stand retail plus checkout, because cashiers are using the quantity function instead of scanning each item. This causes inventory to be a mess, because they count all of a similar product as the same, even though the products may come in different varieties. Here's an example: A customer buys 6 packages of Ramen Noodles. 1 Chicken, 1 Shrimp, 2 Beef, and 2 Chile Lime. The cashier only scans the Chicken, and then manually adjusts the quantity to 6. Now the inventory for Chicken, Shrimp, Beef, and Chile Lime are all wrong!!! This is a very simple option to disable in an ordinary POS package. Please help!

There isn't a way to do that at this time, unfortunately, although from what you've written I can see why you'd want to remove the item. I'm assuming you've already tried to instruct your staff to properly scan each item and not use that?
