I need to create a coupon for the online shop that gives people a tiered discount based on what they spend but I have a category that need to be excluded from the total.
I offer physical items and classes - classes are never discounted,
I am offering a promotion in store that gives a person 10% off when they spend up to $50, 15% when they spend up to $75 and so on.
Is there anyway to set this up online as well.
Also when trying to set it up as automatic in the dashboard - I wanted to select all categories and then deselect the few that it cannot apply to. There is no way to select all categories - that seems kind of silly. I can select all items but it would take me forever to deselect all the items it does not apply to.
Thanks for any help
@snowygrey Hopefully I am understanding your questions here. Let me know if I missed something, or if my answers aren’t completely clear.
First, as far as I know, online store coupons do not have a way for you to set minimum purchase amounts. You can give customers coupon codes and tell them that they need to spend a minimum amount to use them, but it would something you’d have to monitor. Ugh. Sounds like a feature request for Square to add a “minimum purchase amount required” in Discount Details, which would cause them to reject the code if that amount wasn’t met. Feature requests can be made here — https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Feature-Requests/ct-p/Beta-Feature-Requests
For your second question, I think you are referring to the regular discounts for your POS, NOT for the online store. Actually, there is a way to select just the categories you want to auto-apply to any discount.
Best wishes,
