I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SQUARE DO A WINDOWS APP THAT YOU COULD INSTALL ON YOUR BUSINESS COMPUTER.  ANY PLANS ON MAKING THIS A POSSIBILITY IN THE FUTURE?

No need for an app.  You can use virtual terminal, view transaction, manage inventory, manage employees, and view reports right from your browser on PC, Mac, or Linux.

Do you mean our business computers can view the ipad air to see things with a browser? via internet? wifi? some other kind of connection?

Or where is there a good explanation of this.  I don't have any equipment yet so a lot of answers are confusing yet.  sorry.  🙂

Your pc will not see your iPad. It doesn't have to. All of the data you put in square is stored in the cloud so any iPad, iPhone, android device, or Mac/PC you log into will have all the data. 

Its best to make sales on a on a mobile device because the virtual terminal in your computer is limited and is just a lump sum charge not individual items.

Of course there really is no "cloud" it's just a server in some data center.  <grin>  

I do know all about data centers.

If we get the system we are looking at it's an ipad air.  It's for a store so no phones will be doing sales. Just what ever we get from square equipment wise.

We don't have an app for Windows Devices, but you should be able to access the Square Dashboard from the web browser on your phone. From the Dashboard you can send invoices or process a payment via Virtual Terminal.
