I just recently started charging a cancellation fee for appointments canceled without 24-hours notice or no shows. Today I had a no-show, marked her as a no-show and clicked on the button to charge for the cancellation fee. My question is where will I see this fee being processed? It did not show up under my transactions. Does this mean the card was declined?
Hey @bcowles - It should show up in your Transactions and even if it was declined you would have received a message alerting you that it was declined and to try again. The only thing I can think of is that the client didn't have a Card on File for you to charge. If you have a Cancellation Policy, only online bookings will automatically require your clients to enter card information to book the appointment. If you manually create the Appointment for them, you must make sure that you ask them for card information in order to enable No-Show Protection.
