When to update iOS software?

I thought I had read in the past that there's a way to check if the Square app is ready for new iOS updates. Is there a way to find this out somewhere? My iPads are currently running 12.1.4, and I have a pop-up that 12.3 is available. I've turned off auto-updates and am unsure if I should push the update through. Thanks!

You can check if updates are available for the Square App in the App store on your device. If there is an update to run, it will show that when you search Square POS. If Update appears, there is something to install, if Open appears, you are good to go, and up to date.

Some people do choose to run Auto-updates, since you mentioned it's off, you may want to turn those back up to ensure your Square App and iOS are always running the most current version.
