Unable to Export Customers

Each time I try to export Customers, it does not work. The screen says Export Customers : Building Your Export 0% and it is stuck there indefinitely.

 

Anyone experience this same issue? I have even tried to export smaller groups with just 100 customers. Even that does not work.

 

Is square aware of this bug? Can someone from Square please look into this ASAP?

Hey @amitramani - just to confirm - you're going into Customers > Directory  and then hitting the Export button? I just did it and it worked fine for me.  You might want to just give it another try. Sometimes if there's load of users on at the same time, it slows things down a bit.  If it still doesn't work for you today, I'd get in touch with the Square CS team to see if they can help figure out why yours is getting stuck.

I just tried this since you posted today.  I was in my Square Dashboard and when I press Customers I kept getting taken to the Dashboards home page.  This happened 3 times.... the 4th time it opened the Customers page.  I pressed export and it worked fine.  It might be just busy?  try again at a different time maybe?

Our Engineers got to work on this issue yesterday and it should now be resolved. Could you try exporting your Directory again and see if things seem to be working correctly for you now?

It seems to be resolved but downloads differently then other items in Square.  Works fine just has a few pop ups asking which customer lists .. then a pop up that shows download percentage building Download...then another pop up saying that download is ready... then you need to tap the Download button.

 

Just different than downloading say your Items List or your Daily Transactions.

Yes, the interface is a bit different from reporting or item exports due to the information we're exporting through the Directory.
