This seems like a basic function of any Inventory system - generate a report of the current item quantities in stock. I'm not so interested in the total value of the stock as the Square Inventory report generates, but how many of each item is available. Does anyone know how to do this in Square Retail??
The only way I have come up to do this is to export your Items from the Squareup Dashboard, then delete unwanted columns in a spreadsheet so the spreadsheet is more condensed. Then you can sort the spreadsheet by inventory counts. Now if you have Excel, you could set this up with Power Query to automatically refresh the data and have your columns as you would like them. Now as for Square just giving you or you locating a Stock Quantity report, you could only scroll down through the report online that has the Quantities in them but if you have over 4000 items like I do it is a mess to sort out. Now I do have Square send me a Stock report each morning, but that only shows what items I am low on based on my stock order limits.
Thanks for the information. I'm truly amazed that Square does not provide the information in the inventory report. The very definition of "inventory" is "a quantity of goods held in stock".
