Self Serve Order fulfillment Notifications

Does square currently have the ability to text customers or send a push notification when their self serve order is ready? I'm unable to find this feature and it seems like a pretty huge oversight in functionality for a self serve system, email is not a solution.

This is currently not a feature, as self-serve orders are meant to be placed when dining in. The expected flow would be for the customer to place the order from their table, then the order would be served to them once ready. 

Can you give us some more insight as to why you would need to send a text alert? We are always looking for ways to improve the Square products, and I'm happy to forward your feedback along to the teams.

yes, if you have a order pick up station (like Panera does) and you want your customers to be able to seat themselves at a table and then come to the pick up counter
