Phone in for warranty work so using desktop, there is no option for adding a tip, how do I add it?

I am so frustrated.  I set up my square reader to ask the client to fill out the tip portion before signing.  However, I had to send my phone in for warraanty work so am going to the website on our desktop to manually enter the credit card info.  There is no option to add a tip.  The only way I have found is to ask the client, "How much do you want me to run your card for because there isn't an option for you to add the tip after I enter the amount."  That is so rude and uncomfortable for both of us.  I have a very busy day tomorrow and all my clients coming in are big tippers, yet they all use their credit cards and add the tip instead of tipping with cash.  I can't afford to lose the tips I would make tomorrow so I'm very frustrated and need help.  Please let me know if there is a way to let the client add in a tip before the credit card processes.  Thanks.

Hi there. 

 

It sounds like you're using the Virtual Terminal to charge your customers. If this is the case, there isn't a way to accept tips through the Virtual Terminal at this time. This is a very popular request among sellers, so I'll be sure to let our Product team know that you've inquired about it as well. 

 

The best solution for you might be to email your customers an invoice so they can complete the payment and add the tip amount on their end.
