My stand is alternating between charging and not charging my ipad

My stand is alternating between charging and not charging my iPad. I installed a new stand I purchased and still have the same problem. It appears to be and iPad not seeing the stand problem. Any suggestions??

What iPad are you using?  What version of iOS?  What version of square register?  

Maje sure that you are on the most recent version of iOS, we had it where an iPad Air didn't see the square stand until we updated to the latest iOS. 

Also being up to date on square register always helps.
