Period or comma? I have customers denied to pay only because of comma with the amount

Almost every day, I'm facing with the same question: Is it 16 dolars 99 cents or 1699 dolars. Square shows: 16,99 cash register : 16.99 People are insisting to see a period instead of comma. I looked through but couldn't find anything inside settings.

 

What should we do?

Where are they seeing a comma? Where are you located?

I'm in Nashua, NH

When you enter an amount with cents, it's putting a comma. For example, my default price for an item is 16 dollars and 99 cents. Square shows 16,99 

Customers asking is it 16 dollars 99 cents or 1699 dollars. Each time I explain but today one of them denied to pay. Sometimes they want to pay cash only because of this issue.

I would contact support, sounds to me the system things you are in an area that uses a comma.

@kamilgurgener, not happening at all here. It always uses a period, never a comma. Hope it gets corrected for you.

Did you purchase your device (phone, tablet, computer) from a non-US source? Is your internet connection service through Canada or some other location? Are you using a virtual private network or other security service that might be rerouting your traffic? Are you using apps from sources other than official Apple or Android app stores?

 

Just some ideas on what might be changing this setting.
