Online Store: How can I customize order confirmation for tickets to a workshop?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Customize ORDER CONFIRMATION

 

I have customized our receipts and invoices, but the actual order confirmation has text on it I don't want.

These are orders for workshop registration, not pick up or shipping, and order confirmation email states "you'll receive an email when your order has been shipped".  They won't be shipped, this is a registration purchase.  I'd like to change it to sayyou'll receive an email from the registrar with more details" or something like that. 

I don't want to use the ticketing app, for many reasons, but mostly because it would confuse the participants. 

I haven't been able to locate this customization option anywhere, so if you know where it is, tell me! 🙂 THANKS!

Hi @NatBorg. You're not missing anything - there isn't a way to customize the text of the Online Store confirmation emails - I'm sorry!

 

However, it sounds like you've set the delivery method for your workshop to pickup or shipping - but there is a third option to deliver items electronically:

  1. From your Online Store Editor > Click on the item/event.
  2. Scroll down to Delivery Method > click Electronic.
  3. Click Save.

That way your customers would receive an email confirmation that they can use as a ticket instead of a shipping timeframe/pick up instruction, which I can agree would be confusing). Or have you seen this option and determined it's not quite right either?

Electronic doesn't work either as we need an email confirmation I can forward to the registrar. Thanks for the reply, I'm glad I wasn't losing my marbles looking for something that doesn't exist! 🙂

Customers will see the option to enter their phone number at checkout - but it's not required for e-delivery you are right.

 

You could add to the item description that customers should enter their phone number and address in the Note field at checkout. Hope that helps!

Hmm, could you share the Order Details CSV with the Registrar instead? From Dashboard click Online Store > click Orders > scroll down and then click Orders CSV to download the file to your computer. You could email that file that as an attachment?

We need all the address & contact information that comes with an online/ship order. I don't think that comes in the CSV download for electronic payments, does it?
