Looking to be able to take Online Payments for a Rental that might include additional options

Hello,

I'm struggling to figure out where in SQUARE I could accomplish the following...

We are a Sportsman's Club that has an outdoor Pavilion that is available to be rented.

We want to make it possible for people who are renting it to pay us Online with their credit cards.

The issue is that it's not a simple set Fee that gets paid - it needs to be calculated.

1. There is a BASE RENTAL FEE which is $400 for a Member but $500 for a Non-Member

2. There is an OPTIONAL $75 Kitchen Fee if they want to also use the Kitchen

3. There is an OPTIONAL $100 Bartender Fee for a fixed 5 Hours of Bartender Service

4. There is an OPTIONAL $20/hour fee for every additional hour of Bartender Service above and beyond the minimum 5 hours

We don't do anything with Stock, Inventory, Shipping, Point of Sale, etc...we basically just want the visitor to make the selections...have the system calculate the total price, and then let them make the payment online using their credit card.

Ideally, we'd be able to add/embed this "payment form" to our existing website and not setup a formal "store" - but if we need to have a store...so be it !!

I've used SQUARE'S simple "Online Checkout" links in the past and they are GREAT for collecting money for things like our Annual Registration Fee - where there are no options and no "calculations" to be done - but I don't think we can use them here.

Can you tell me please if it is possible to do what I described above in SQUARE and if YES - what part(s) of the platform would I need to use to get the job done?

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!

@WesternMaRelics This sounds like something that can be accomplished with square invoices!

Hey there @WesternMaRelics

I see this is your first post. Welcome to The Seller Community, we are happy to have you! I agree with @Lovewell I think invoices might be a great option, thank you again for helping out! I do want to get more details so we can better assist. You stated you have used the checkout links before but it didn't calculate, can you elaborate on that a little more? Also, ideally, you would want this to be a link you can embed on your website, similar to how our checkout links work right now. Is that correct? Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi - thank you SO MUCH for engaging.

When I said that Checkout Links don't "calculate"...it could be my ignorance.  But from what I see, each checkout link has a fixed dollar value associated with it that can not changed based on input by the buyer/payer.  Is that correct?

Again, I need a system that will allow the buyer to check some options that would add $$'s to the fee they are going to pay, and then go through with making the payment.

I don't know much (yet) about how Invoices in Square work so I'll have to give them a look.

Thank you,

Ted

Of course, happy to be of assistance! I think we just need to make some tweaks to how you have it set up @WesternMaRelics!  You can create an item for members and non-members. And then use modifiers to add the fees. Once you do that you can either send an invoice or use checkout links like before and have the link available on your website. Would that work for you?
