Are you referring to doing something like this screen shot below? Sorry, not sure what the widescreen square register looks like, my setup is using an iPad and Square Stand and I've been using the new Square Interface (beta version I think but, seems to work fine for our needs.) The layout here was created using the Item Grid option. When you setup your items, I'm assuming you also uploaded a photo of the item. If you go to Settings, Items, then by default you should see "All Items" - there's an option at the top right of the screen that says "Set Up Item Grid". By selecting that option, you should see the layout template - there you can select your item and it should then also include the picture. There may be other ways to do this of course - this is what I did. Perhaps others may have another method or better details.
