Is there a way to require people to enter their birthday in order to get a free item?

We are selling wrist bands for an event. All children 0-2 will be able to get a free wristband. I want people to have to input the child's birthday so that we can cross check the ages with the free band. Is there a way to have the client enter the child's birthday on the item (wrist bands) that are being sold?

Yes, in the online store. I also ran into the issue of not being able to sell a free item. Any ideas?

Hey @iDancer5678 - Jumping in for Justin here. I was going to suggest creating a modifier that your customer can check if someone is 0-2 years of age, but it looks like you have already done that. When it comes to creating a free item, you should be able to add an item with a zero dollar amount. What error are you running into?
