I want to buy a Square stand, and need to know what iPads are compatable.  I think I want an iPad with cellular service to transact when there is no WiFi.

It looks like Square is selling the iPad Air 16GB WiFi, but that seems to have been replaced on the market by iPad Air2, and there is speclation that Apple may be about to reveal newer iPads.

Any suggestions for a cellular 'Pad that is compatable with the Square stand?  I need this in a couple weeks.

@Art2015 The iPad Air is supported but the newer iPad Air 2 is not. If you go with the iPaid Air with cellular you will be happy. If you are in a hurry most Best Buy Stores carry the iPad Air and the Square Stand. Make sure you get the Square Stand for the iPad Air. Happy Selling.

Best Buys no longer has iPad Air becaus it is obsolete... They are even closing out iPad Air 2...  

Square has not kept up with the tech..  For the $$$ they make, I would think they would be motivated to keep up.

@Art2015 Our Best Buy here in York, PA has the iPad Air. I would check BestBuy Online or many other retailers might still have them, I even saw them on Amazon.com too.  I think Square does know what they are doing, they are probally creating something new that will even be better. Remember soon, the card swipe in the Square Stands will be obsolite so maybe they are making something with a chip reader built in. Don't lose faith, they know what they are doing, they always have been one step ahead.
