I have been shopping for an iPad Air or 4 that is compatabe with the Square stand; the Pads are almost non-existant because they are obsolete. Best Buys has 1 refurbished one... Even the iPad Air 2 is already on sale everywhere....
Square has not done a good job of keeping up on this - and that is a polite understatement.
I finally broke down and decided to buy an obsolete Air and a stand to get up & running; when I placed my order, I got a 'network error, your order was not placed' message... I clicked again, and got the same thing.
Then I received 2 emailed invoices, each for an iPad Air & stand, with different order numbers. I spoke to Square 'support' who said, there was nothing they could do about the duplicated orders, and that I could return one order after I received it - remember they only had the order less than 2 minutes and it wont be shipped until next week! They are hell-bent to ship the order that only got ordered due to a glitch, and then I have to hassle with the return of an unwanted iPad - which was obsolete before I "ordered" it.
Count me as a very ticket off customer. With Square, the system apparently overrides any reasoning.
Square customer 'service' did sebd a survey to rate their service and a followup to my email with this concern, thanking me for using Square and was there 'anything else they could do?'; considering they didn't solve the very order they effed-up, a form letter asking 'what else'' they can do for me seems to be an insult.
Sorry to hear about the trouble. We're more than happy to refund for the duplicate order. As soon as you receive it, reach back out to our Support Team and they can take care of it for you.
I'll be sure to share this feedback with the appropriate team.
