When I have a specific item on sale for e-card I cannot shut off Custom. For example something worth 50.00 I only want that discount applied to this amount. What happened is that some of my other items are more than that price and a customer received 15% off of 135.00 item. I did not want this. Now I have to go into the area and put top dollar spent is $50.00 and therefor they can't pay anthing over that price until my promotion stops. Is there a way to have the custom amount be able to choose to have it or not?

If I'm understanding the question correctly, You've enabled eGift Card promotions and only want them available for eGift Card promotions of $50. Unfortunately, there is not specific way to limit permissions to only one value, but we do have some options for work arounds on this.
If you have the percentage set as 15% off, you can set a cap on that discount so it does not apply over the 15% off of $50. ($7.50 or some people like to increase this to $10).
The other option is to just offer a set discount at a specific dollar amount, and not a percentage off.
