How do you start a refund from square and does it show pending in the person account it’s going back to?
Search the transaction, if you're logged in to your dashboard, go to Sales, under Transaction Tab, receipt will pull up on top of the receipt you will have an option to issue refund. Most of the times it will credit the customer right away but you and your customer will receive an email stating how long it will take ( i think it says 2-3 days depending on the bank), but for the most part, it's same day. Hope this helps.

I just wanted to add that refunds typically take between 2 and 7 business days to be completed depending on the card-issuing bank. There are additional details about how refunds work in our Support Center.
