How do I get the app to show up on my start up page so I can use it to enter the amount sold and take payments  I have an Amazon fire note book

Amazon Kindle Fire devices aren't officially supported.  

It is possible to sideload apps on a Kindle but even then if something goes wrong it isn't supported.  It would be best to use an iPad or supported Android device, you can get a generation or 2 older iPad for under $100 or a new one at $250 or so on sale.
