How do I track physical gift card sales?

I recently purchased a box of Square plastic gift cards. I have them available on my website. So customers purchase the gift card on my website using a credit card, and then pick up the card for me in person, or I ship it to them.


I sold my first card yesterday- I loaded the card for $100. The customer had already paid using a credit card, but Square won't let me finish loading until I put in payment information again. I just hit cash, but now I feel like my Square bookkeeping is going to be skewed, because I am showing a payment for the card through my website (Stripe), and then again through Square.

 

What am I missing? Help!

@Christelle @When you process the gift card just put a 100% discount so the overall transaction is zero but the card is still fully loaded 👍
