How do I load gift cards that were prepaid via square prior to me having the cards?

I had 2 clients pay me yesterday  and today for giftcards, I charged them using Square POS, however, I didn't have the giftcards yet. I know have the giftcards and would like to attach them cards to their payments, how do I go about doing that?

you can load a gift card for the amount you want and then apply a 100% discount to the transaction.  the card will load with the amount you chose but no money will be needed to finish the transaction.
