How do I finish setting up my account with a Canadian Postal Code?

We've started the process of creating our account, but when I get to the "Let's talk about you" section, it asks for a zip code. We're in Canada, and have a postal code that contains letters as well as numbers. I'm on a laptop, and when I try to put in the postal code, it ignores the letters I put in. Do I need to change the account to Canadian? If so, how would I do that?

If you are in Canada and are going to do business in Canada then, yes, you need to set up a Canadian Square account.  IF you are in Canada and are going to do business in the US then you will need a Us address and Social etc to open that account.

Square Canada

a Square Canada account will accept US cards in Canada but will not work if you try to accept cards in the US. Square uses GPS to determine the location of the transaction.

Ok, so I went to create a Canadian account, to which it said that there was already an account with that email. So I deactivated the American account and tried to reactivate it as a Canadian account.  It still says that the email is in use. When I try to go through the email support for help, it doesn't populate with anything, so I can't email. As well, when I try to call the customer support number, it says I need a customer code.

once an email is tied to an account (even if deactivated) it is still tied up.  use a different email address or get a new Gmail one for free.

since you don't have an account yet I don't think there is phone support.

once you have an account set up you can get your customer code by the following steps.

Click "Other"

Click "I don't see my issue"

Click "Call Support"

Write down your Customer Code
