Does anyone know how to get Square/Weebly to stop creating duplicate customer files?

When a person places an order at my online store (generally a new customer) a customer file is created. However, since I opened my Weebly store (used to have the old Square store), duplicate files are created. One with all the info you'd expect, and another with just the email (email is used as the customer name and as the actual email ...with no other info). When I merge them to get rid of one, it keeps the customer name and email but loses all the other info including purchase history. This is getting ridiculous, I have tons of duplicate files now. Does anyone know how to stop this unnecessary and unwanted duplication madness??!!

HI, I believe you need to contact Square Support.   Square obtained Weebly 2018 and have been combined into one.  

 

You can try to contact Customer Support with this link.  Monday to Friday.

You will get a few options to contact, click Call Us, a new browser window will open with phone number and customer code.

 

You must be logged into your account and is best on a laptop or desktop.  Phone app sometimes displays unavailable at times.
