Can you setup a discount that sells an item at cost?

I would like to setup an employee discount that sells the item at cost but the only options are either a % or $ amount.

there is not a way to do this.  Square POS doesn't know what the cost of the item is to discount it to anyway.

I would think it would be easy when you have to enter the price when you create the item.

one way you could do this is to set a second price point that is the price you pay for the item.
