Can I turn off booking overlay for multiple employees or link an appointment to a specific room?

Hi I have multiple employees who all share one workspace we all have our own booking buttons and we're trying to make sure the appointments don't overlay but it keeps happening clients are able to book multiple employees for one time slot we want to turn that feature off as we only have one recording studio that we share. We'd like for the calendar to show booked or busy when someone else is booked. At this point the client is able to book and then book again with multiple employees showing up with multiple clients at the same time in the same space.

I am having the same issue.  I have one dance studio that all my employees, as well as outside instructors, use.  So if one person is using the studio, it is not available for anyone else.  I would love a way to: 1) link appointments to a room, and 2) make the room unavailable to book for appointments if a class is being held or if it is rented at a given time.

I need the exact same thing, urgently. It's pretty much the main reason I signed up for square appointments and left visibook. I run a recording studio with a few rooms, and 6 engineers. Each room can only be used by one client at a time, and generally with one or sometimes two engineers at a time. I have each room set up as a separate location, and I've been working on my squareup for almmost a month now, getting everything organized. My heart broke when I read this post. Hopefully something changes soon.... I can't afford the extra overhead if it's not doing what I need.

Thanks for posting @intylekt! I'm sorry for the frustration this is causing. While you can set up your engineers to be available at one location, it's not possible for them to be available at different locations at exactly the same time. 

 

I'll share your request to be able to have employees overlapping at different locations with the Appointments team!

Any updates on this yet?  I have one piece of equipment that I share with another employee and would like a streamlined way to schedule this machine without doublebooking it by accident. At this time, it would not work to create a new "employee" and assign the machine to this profile.

I’m having this issue as well. There’s three of us sharing a room. Luckily we haven’t had a problem with overlay yet, but it would be a great feature to have. 

As of right now we all have the same admin access and when one person schedules they immediately go into the others books and block the time creating a “personal event”. We’ve been lucky enough to catch it in time. 

To us this would be a very important feature especially with the added cost of the app having multiple employees.
