Can I exclude discounts from smart tipping %s?

Hello All:

Is there a way to have discounts excluded from smart tipping on a printed receipt?

Here's the situation:

We have a beach location and charge $30 (cash) at the gate for customers to park in our lot. We then credit it back (validate) on their restaurant check. So - an $80 purchase just became $50 net sale. If the customer uses the smart tipping on the receipt and checks the 20% box - the server just got 20% of $50 instead of 20% of 80.

Apparently those of us who want smart tip buttons to be based on total check amount and not the discounted amount (after discounts or gift card) have to like and state our case on the post linked below for this feature request to be considered:
