I have a retail location and a wholesale location with two different types of goods. I would like to be able to collect e-mails but I need to differentiate between the two?

You can use Square's email collection tools to do this, but at this time there isn't a way to differentiate between locations. I agree this would be useful and I'll share your request with the Customer Directory team!

It has been almost a year - has there been any progress on collecting emails for specific locations? We have multiple stores in multiple states and it doesn't always make sense to send everyone the same message
Nothing new yet. For now, you'll need to use the email collection tool @Helen suggested above.
I understand how to collect the email addresses, but am I missing something? So to confirm even with the email collection tools there is no way to sort into different contact groups to target specific groups based on zip code or interests or other metrics? Trying to decide if the pros of the Square email marketing is worth the cons to give up the system we currently use.
Thanks
Correct - there's no way to know which zip code those customers live inwhen they put their email address in the email collection screen.
